Allen Brain Atlas - The Allen Brain Atlas is a project within the Allen Institute of Brain Science which seeks to combine genomics with neuroanatomy by creating gene expression maps for the brain.
Russell Brain, 1st Baron Brain - Dr Walter Russell Brain, 1st Baron Brain (October 23 1895–December 29 1966) was a United Kingdom neurologist. He was principal author of the standard work of neurology, "Brain's Diseases of the Nervous System", and longtime editor of the neurological medical journal titled Brain.
Brain implant - The term brain implants, also known as neural implants, usually refers to devices of a technological nature that are connected directly to a biological subject's brain - usually placed on the surface of the brain, or attached to the brain's cortex. A common purpose of modern brain implants and the focus of much current research is establishing a biomedical prosthesis circumventing areas in the brain, which became dysfunctional after a stroke or other head injuries.
NINDS brain trauma research - The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) conducts and supports research to better understand traumatic brain injury and the biological mechanisms underlying damage to the brain, to develop strategies and interventions to limit the primary and secondary brain damage that occurs within days of a head trauma, and to devise therapies to treat brain injury and help in long-term recovery of function.
